Grading

Enamel pin manufacturing is a multistep process that is done mainly by hand. Therefore, it is impossible to find a pin that is 100% flawless; under a magnifying glass, every pin possesses minor blemishes or flaws. Nevertheless, our priority is to bring you high-quality products. When purchasing, please refer to the following grading guide.

  • Collector's Grade (A Grade): Nearly flawless. May have a flaw or two that are not easily noticeable
  • Standard Grade (A- Grade): May have flaws that are only visible at certain angles and/or under bright un-natural lights. Does not take away from the overall quality of the pin
  • B Grade: Minor flaws that are somewhat noticeable but will not take away from the overall quality of the pin
  • C Grade: Minor flaws that are clearly noticeable upon first glance
  • D Grade: Major flaws such as missing enamel or highly noticeable face flaws
  • F Grade: Most suitable for pin modifiers. Will contain major flaws that are considred "beyond repair," such as large pieces of missing enamel
